We're excited to announce the first four projects selected for our upcoming creative residencies in Barcelona, Spain, and Kouvola, Finland!

We received a wide range of creative proposals, showing just how many different ways sustainability, creativity and artistic expression can come together.
As external jury member Karl Joonas Alamaa shared:
“The variety of the projects was remarkable, and I really enjoyed seeing applications spanning from fashion and design to performance and other artistic practices”
Also, there's still one more team to be announced from our original Open Call!
And if you missed the Open Call, there's still a chance to compete for a place in the creative residencies through Design Wave Festival, taking place in Riga, Latvia, on 25–27 November 2026.
